Co'Cool

We don’t know quite much about lemons, but when life gives you coconuts, you do what Co’cool does. Tucked away in a small magical island that goes by the name – Saint Marie, Co’cool was conceptualized when Jade & Francois realized they have one too many coconut trees in their backyard; they’re a Malagasy start-up which aims to use the coconut in all its form by offering products which are ecological, artisanal and made using old techniques & recipes but also love. Co’cool stands by very strongly to its promise of participating in the development of entrepreneurship on the island and taking up projects which along with being exciting and challenging, also have a social meaning and respect the environment.

They believe that inspiration lies in nature and one just has to look. This has made them the first-ever brand in Madagascar that uses all the parts of the coconut in their products.

The traditional way of producing coconut oil in Madagascar is by boiling coconut milk. However, Co’cool realized this process damages the properties of the coconut and after detailed research, they came out with an alternative way, called cold extraction to extract the oil. This method, they believe, not only makes the coconut oil great for the skin but also has multiple health benefits.
